Passport & Visa Requirements:
US Citizens visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) must have a valid U.S. passport that does not expire within six months of their arrival date. Travelers must also possess a return ticket or other proof that they will be leaving the UAE within 30-days of arriving. For visits exceeding 30 days, travelers must obtain a tourist visa prior to departure. Americans exiting the UAE by land transportation will be subject to a departure fee of 35 dirhams (AED) (about $9.60 USD) payable only in local currency.
